Project Management
Project Management
The Project Management section of the Business Technology Support Division (BTSD) directs a systemic approach to project management of IT application projects for the Department. Each IT Project Manager (PM) takes ownership for their products and services reporting to the Project Management Office (PMO). Project Managers become accountable and responsible for their individual project outcomes while the Project Management Office promotes project management best practices and provides the oversight and support necessary for collaborating Project Teams to succeed.
In addition to project management, our Project Teams provide for custom software development and support for mainframe, web applications, mobile technologies and support for outside vendor developed products. The application development teams regularly perform research, analysis, utilize a full host of Microsoft products, invoke Quality Assurance/Quality Control and subscribe to the Agile development methodology in support of the application development life cycle to keep in pace with NDOT’s changing and expanding business needs.
Creating a foundation for consistent and efficient IT project delivery throughout the organization is the everlasting goal.
