Carsyn Gregory, a 2^nd grader at Johnson County Central School in Tecumseh was the Name-a-Snowplow winner with the name “ Avalanche.”  Snowplow operator Gerald Pecka from Tecumseh Maintenance drove the truck to the school. Attending and making the award presentation was Kris Pietzyk, Tecumseh Maintenance Supervisor, Andy Buchmeier Superintendent of the area, Bob Rankin District 1 Operations Manager, and Brandon Varilek District 1 Engineer. Carsyn was presented a plaque and a toy truck replica. Carsyn and her second-grade class all got a chance to sit in the truck.

Highway 15 is officially open! A celebratory ribbon cutting took place Thursday, December 12th with Brian Schoen having the honors. This $10 million project was completed in just under one year. Mayor Eickmeier thanked the State of Nebraska and crews for their hard work and determination to finish this project ahead of schedule. 

NDOT employees participated in the City of North Platte's annual Parade of Lights which traveled through the downtown Canteen District.
