NDOT employees, Clint Collicott (Hwy. Maintenance Supt., Holdrege), Matt Talbert (Hwy. Maintenance Supvr., Minden), Hunter Riley (Hwy. Maintenance Crew Chief, Minden) and Craig Boston (Sr. Hwy. Maintenance Worker, Minden) attended the presentation of the Name-a-Snowplow winner at Axtell Public schools. 

NDOT employees attended the Name-a-Snowplow Celebration event at Maywood Public Schools on Friday, December 6th.  The winner (Taylor Stewart) was recognized and the class was encouraged to sign their name on the snowplow.  NDOT employees attending were (l to r) Michael Houghtelling (Crew Chief, Maywood), Todd Courter (Sr. Hwy. Maintenance Worker, Maywood), Terry Einspahr (Hwy. Maintenance Supt., McCook, retiring), and Levi Baughman (New Hwy. Maintenance Supt., McCook)

All is calm, all is bright!  Thank you to D5 employees Nathan Logue and Dennis Wilder who showed off our snowplow on December 1st in the downtown Scottsbluff Christmas Parade and again on December 7^th in the Minatare Parade of Lights!  Also, a big thank you to Taylor Tapster and Terry Intermill who drove it on December 6th in Bayard’s First Annual Christmas Parade of Lights!  A special thank you to Victor Torres who helped install these lights that really lit it up beautifully!

On December 5th, District 8 teammates went to Springview Grade School and announced Madison Stout as a winner of the Name-a-Snowplow contest. She was presented a personalized "Slusher Crusher" sign, a personalized diecast snowplow and a letter from NDOT Director Vicki Kramer. After the presentation all of the kids went out to see "Slusher Crusher." Madison was the first kid to get in the driver’s seat and have her picture taken with the truck name on the door. The kids took turns crawling up in the truck to check it out. The main attraction was the air horn! The kids were also able to sign the snowplow and snowplow wing. The following teammates were present at the ceremony. Chuck Osborn (DOMM), Shaun Emerson (Maintenance Superintendent), Tyler Ammon (Maintenance Supervisor), and Mike Rowley (Maintenance Worker Sr.)
